11/24/2023 0 Comments Razer cortex server issuesThey could be several seconds to minutes long, locking up a core for long enough for NMIs to not flush a processor's TLB, causing the kernel to (rightfully) panic. AMD Opteron-based HP ProLiants were notoriously awful about SMIs just due to shitty power management, in my career, too. This is part of why temperature probe software/profilers have been attributed to stability issues in the past, or in the enterprise space, why server hardware management plugins/software will occasionally have fixes to prevent system lockups (LOL) or other stability issues. Perhaps as low-level as SMIs, which are nigh-undetectable. I wonder if these apps are causing some really sub-optimal use of interrupts. So, conceptually, constraining the hardware-centric apps seems meaningful to me from an interrupts standpoint. This is a good post, thank you for sharing. TLDR: Laggy Game? Turn off Chroma Apps in connect, and Set all Razer processes to 1 CPU+Lowest priority-Test and tell me results. I would love to hear your results myself. I will post a link below for pics but I really wanted to get this info out there for everyone to try. Core 0 to be exact.Īfter doing this, I ran multiple hundred tests, with my settings on and off and honestly, Just doing that change? Saved me a good 10-20fps in each game. I took every little bit of Razer, Asus Aura, Just anything that had to deal with RGB in general (there was even a connector to steam for razer) and changed them to the Lowest possible Priority, and set their Affinity to just 1 Core. You can google it, I dont need to link it. I use a Program some might be familiar with for testing programs at work called Process Lasso. I then noticed, that if I close out of synapse, my fps goes up another 10 or so. After I turned it off? 90+ and no input lag whatsoever. It seems to scan your game as you play, causing my games to look like they were being played on a 7 year old laptop with intel onboard graphics. It will probably vary per person but this was my fix and hopefully it will help you: Why would I pay the money for RGB when I cant even control it? I also was not just going to keep synapse off my PC like some stated. I did everything EVERY post told me to do with no luck. the lag was so bad, let me tell you, I felt like I was playing on a 30fps monitor and dying wireless mouse and keyboard. The Only thing I knew, was, when I closed out of synapse completely (taskbar and all processes) The lag went away. I could not figure out what it was, I researched over the reddit posts, different forums, everywhere.with little to no luck. What I did not love however.was the extreme lag I experienced in game. From he Razer Synape 3 UI, to the products themselves. Upon installation of the products and software, I immediately fell in love with just about everything. Wanting a wide range of products to replace I decided they were the best choice for me. I ultimately decided to cut ties with them and my wallet, I remember Razer having issues back in the day with certain products and I just never got into them. I recently got a bunch of Razer peripherals from bestbuy because I have been having the worse luck with Corsair products. I tend to troubleshoot too far for most people to care, but I do. Let me start off by saying, I am an onsite IT Manager ( Dealing with the hands on escalated issues). You can do so by simply clicking flair under your link!
